    Hi All,

We are launching the promotion campaign for the BoylePoker.com IPO from today. As I say every year, the only reason this tournament can take place is with the help and enthusiasm of every poker player in the country.
We need you to tell everyone you know that they should register on BoylePoker.com today if they want to play. It is very likely that we will sell out within a few weeks from today and we are going to make sure that 2009 is a year to remember for all.

The BoylePoker.com International Poker Open is going to be one of the highlights in European tournament poker for 2009. 1,000 seats are open to players now.
Please be sure to book early. Last year we were sold out over one month before the event and this year we're expecting much higher demand...Please note, you must register and pay your buy-in online through BoylePoker.com.

Tournament Location; Regency Airport Hotel, Swords Road, Whitehall, Dublin 9, Ireland.
    http://www.regencyhotels.com/hotels/content.asp?PageID=216

Day 1A starts at 13:00 on Friday 16th October.
Day 1B starts at 13:00 on Saturday 17th October. (You can choose whether you would like to play Day 1A or Day 1B, both options are available in the BoylePoker.com tournament lobby).
Day 2 (Final Day) Starts at 12 noon on Sunday 18th October.
    Entry Costs US$250.
There is US$25,000 added to the prize-pool and there will be lots of celebrities and professional poker players in attendance.
    Estimated Prize-pool; US$300,000+

    No-Limit Texas Hold'em
    Starting Stack; 8,000 Chips
Bonus 2,000 Starting Chips; Play on BoylePoker.com in August and earn 250 VIP (not very many at all) and you will get an extra 1,000 starting chips in the IPO. Repeat this task in September and receive a further 1,000 starting chips.

How much of the $250 goes into the prizepool, when will the $ be converted into €, and how are people paid when they cash?

Also, please fill out the charter format questions as well. For questions like structure, say see above, but this will help make it fully transparent and cut off a lot of the questions, besides only taking 10 mins to do.

Ballpark, what volume of hands would you need at .25/.50 6max NL cash to hit the 250 VIP points?

Mistake number one on my part...Sorry about that guys, misunderstanding on my part, The buy-in is US$225 + US$25 reg fee (but $25,000 added still stands :) )

There will be slightly more than 1,300 players taking part this year. At the moment we are only releasing 1,000 seats, after that they will be in very scarce supply so please book early if you want to play.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

I wont be in the country at the time as I'll be travelling but I hope this goes well. Last years tournament was so good my only complaint was the temperature of the room. I hope this is another success for you Stephen as well as Boylepoker. Hope to play this tournament in 2010!

Cheers Cee, we have taken care of the room temperature issues and also the small issue of players being crammed so tight that they feel like a TV dinner :)...If nothing else we're taking on board all of the experience from last year and improving on everything that we can think of.

    Stephen.

They do have quite a few shops where you can deposit cash directly. Its actually less hassle than finding a Ukash vendor imo.
